Adult Partial Care

Adult Partial Care services are available to people whose lives have been disrupted by a mental illness and want to get back to having a successful role in the community.  Adult Partial Care can help if you have identified an inability to function productively in the community or have had a psychiatric hospitalization that resulted in job loss, poor relationships, or isolation.  We provide knowledge, support, and treatment that will help you increase your overall quality of life and ability to participate in the community in your chosen valued role. We strive to meet your physical, psychiatric, social, cultural, health, nutritional and rehabilitation needs.

Whether you want to get back to work, continue your education, become a better parent, partner or volunteer, one of our Adult Partial Care programs at Ocean Mental Health Services can help you to build a lifestyle that promotes wellness.

We do this by helping you to:

  • Build effective life skills such as:
    • interpersonal communications
    • budgeting
    • understanding how your thoughts effect your behavior
    • managing distressing symptoms of your illness
  • Increase your self esteem and understanding of self value
  • Understand your illness and manage your recovery
  • Find and learn the right coping skills
  • Identify ways to address stress that work for you
  • Participate in a recovery plan that will bring you overall success
  • Plan for the cycle of your illness and prevent future relapses
  • Learn to be your own strongest advocate
  • Develop a support system through the people in your life and the people that are a part of your recovery

If you want to get back to a positive role in the community, one of the Adult Partial Care Programs at Ocean Mental Health Services can support you in your goals.
