A Charlie Brown Christmas

 In Ocean Academy

Students in Room 1 had the privilege of seeing “A Charlie Brown Christmas” last Friday, December 14th. This production was part of the Education Series at the Algonquin Theater. The show was very entertaining, as the children performing really brought Charles Schulz’ Peanuts characters to life. Our students enjoyed this modern adaptation of the classic 1965 “A Charlie Brown Christmas” TV special. This production included both the original Peanuts songs, as well as some popular songs that the students could recognize, such as “All I Want for Christmas is You.” Students demonstrated appropriate behavior throughout the entire show. Afterwards, Mr. Corbett treated the class to hot drinks and treats at Green Planet Coffee Shop in Manasquan.

This school is fantastic on so many levels. Not only do they make learning fun but they take us on trips so we could experience what real life is like. When they take us on these trips it teaches us life skills. For example social skills, manners, and how to manage things that make us anxious or scared. Also, school is like a family we do everything together. Moreover, I believe that these kids in this school are going to be so successful. Plays are entertaining. That’s why kids are motavited to do work because they know they will get something good in return.
